Affordable Housing
Community land trusts & protecting long-term residents
Caden will fight for long-term affordable housing by uplifting models like community land trusts, which have the capacity to permanently keep housing affordable while also generating shared equity for residents and renters.
He will work to ensure that our most vulnerable residents are protected and prioritized in every facet of our work.
His approach is centered on protecting long-term residents, expanding community-rooted housing solutions, and making sure San Pablo remains a place where working families can afford to stay.

Economic Development
Education pipelines & pathways to opportunity
Caden will build a stronger pipeline between West Contra Costa Unified School District and Contra Costa College so that young people have real opportunities to attend college, pursue trades, and build stable futures.
He believes that as we raise the education baseline of our city, we create the conditions for families to stay, grow, and thrive here rather than feeling forced to leave in search of better school districts or greater opportunity elsewhere.
He will demystify and eliminate the stigma around community college, recognizing it as one of the most impactful pathways for first-generation college students and students pursuing transfer to four-year universities, including highly ranked institutions.

Public Safety
Community-centered & restorative approaches
Caden will build restorative pathways for community policing that do not actively deploy officers onto school campuses in ways that compromise student and family safety.
He will pursue strong local action, similar to efforts undertaken in nearby cities, to keep ICE out indefinitely and ensure ICE is not represented in the city.
He will ensure the community helps shape public safety priorities through constant correspondence, surveying, newsletter engagement, and social media outreach to understand community sentiment and forge stronger relationships between residents and public institutions.
Public safety should never feel imposed on the people. It should be shaped with the people, and always in service to them.
